In 2018 UCSALab was created to involve institutions, businesses, third sector, associations and informal groups of citizens in the design and implementation of innovative solutions to environmental problems of the area, with a specific focus in involving youth citizens in local planning and in the implementation of experimental projects of environmental innovation. UCSALab is an ecosystem of open innovation centered on the different actors and users of the municipalities belonging to UCSA and those participating in its projects. UCSALab is a permanent living lab, an open and modular process for the creation and development of new ideas for the enhancement, urban regeneration and creation of services that can improve the quality of life of citizens.
